Mary-Jane became involved with horses in South Africa. It was while living on a farm just outside Cape Town that she had the space to take on and rehabilitate horses. She discovered that she had a unique ability to 'communicate' with them to find out what was wrong with them, what the cause was and how best to resolve the situation. Guided by intuition she developed a technique which gave amazing results. Apart from having horses on the farm she travelled to horse yards and racing stables to work on horses and saw some 400 horses in a year, in addition to her human practice.

When she moved to Ayrshire people heard about her ability and before long she was travelling to treat horses. However due to a demanding human practice, she no longer had the time to travel. As a consequence she has developed a course to teach horse owners and vets her technique.

Kenny and Mary-Jane also treat dogs and cats with great success.
